The best grip head is quite strong, and very comfortable handle.
Unlike the knuckles that came with the C-stand I purchased, these do exactly what they’re supposed to do. I’ve only given it a 4-star rating because it’s too soon to factor in durability, although I fully expect to revisit this review later and give it the 5th one.
Compared to Matthews/American/Avenger this is a great price on a pretty standard grip head. I can’t speak to truly heavy-duty use but was a Local 80 union grip for long enough to know my way around a c-stand. This price is even competitive with Modern Studio Equipment, which was my go-to’s when living in LA. But for something you can get shipped prime at <$25, I’m pleased. I use them now in light to medium-duty commercial video work and sometimes in modular furniture applications (when testing out a custom design for shop/office equipment in prototyping). Can’t speak to the material science aspect of metal durability, but for most people, this is a deal.
