How to Draw A Cartoon Apple
Step 1
Apples may look simple, and they have a fairly simple shape on the surface.
They can be surprisingly difficult to draw because you must make the shape look natural.
So in this guide, we will break it down into easier steps as this will show you how easy it can be!
For the first stage of this cartoon apple drawing, we’ll start with the left side of the apple. Try to look closely at this first half in our example, as you will see what the general constitution will look like to Draw A Cartoon Apple.
We will round it at the top, and the spherical area at the bottom will be much smaller.
With that first half outlined, we can move on to the next portion of the directory.
Step 2
If you look at a real apple, you will see a small bumpy section at the base. In step 2 of the how to draw a cartoon apple guide, we will draw this.
First, draw another miniature spherical province next to the previous one you drew earlier.
This is how we extend the right side of the apple. This line is slightly curved and angled outward, as shown in the reference image.

Step 3
Let’s complete the apple outline for the third step of our tutorial on drawing a cartoon apple.
All you have to do is draw another curved line where the previous line ended.
It rotates up, around, and then down until it almost connects to the other stripe at the top of the apple. There will be a small gap, and you will see why in the next step!
Step 4
Apples usually have a big stalk where they are picked from the tree, and now we will draw one. This will also show why we left that small gap in the step, as mentioned above!
The trunk is drawn with curved lines to form a very thin trunk at the base and a wider one at the top.
Add a small curved line at the base of the stem, like in our reference image to Draw A Cartoon Apple.
Step 5
It’s time to add the finishing touches and details to this apple before adding some pretty colors in the final step.
You must draw a leaf on the stem using rounded lines with a pointed tip at the end. This will then have some curved grain detail to finish it.
Then you can add some final details! You could draw a background setting or add fruit to sit next to the apple.
Some fun details can be added, like a cute worm popping out of the apple to Draw A Cartoon Apple!

Step 6
This is the last step of the guide, and in it, we will finish off the design with some color!
Apples can come in many colors, and we chose a beautiful combination of red colors in our reference image.
Instead of just a shade of red, we incorporated a few darker and lighter areas to create some shading for the apple.
They also show where the light reflects off the top of the apple. As mentioned, there are also other colors you could choose!
Green and yellow would be options, but you could also use brighter, more stylistic colors.
