1. Vegetables and tubers should not be refrigerated

Tomatoes should not be stored in the refrigerator but must be stored in a cool place outside. You should buy enough tomatoes and use them gradually in 1-2 days to ensure the freshest tomatoes.
Green tomatoes, if left in the refrigerator, will slow down, and the typical flavor of tomatoes will be much less. Ripe tomatoes stored in the refrigerator for a long time are easy to soften, taste no longer delicious.
You should only put onions in a cool place, do not refrigerate them because onions are highly hygroscopic, which will cause other foods to dry quickly and spoil. You just need to keep the onions in a cool place, away from the sun, to keep them delicious for about a month.
In particular, onions you have peeled, absolutely should not be put in the refrigerator for storage because it will make the refrigerator smell very unpleasant.
Before you put them in the refrigerator, you should wash them and cut them into pieces, put them in a pot of water to boil with a little salt.
